Hopefully you’ve gotten a good start in your business planning. But before you get carried away with all the advertising you want and what computer programs you want, you need to create a budget.

Start by adding up all of your current expenses and figure our what percentage of your income you are spending to be able to make money. The following is a list of expenses you want to remember to include: |

Errors and Omissions Insurance
Office Expenses
REALTOR® Dues
MLS Fees
Office Supplies
Computer equipment
Computer programs
Computer supplies
Internet connection
Telephone (land and cell)
Car expenses

Once you’d added them up and figured out your total current expenses and the percentage of your current income you are spending. The compare this to what you want to accomplish in your goals. You may find some area where you are spending too much and other areas where you aren’t spending enough. You can either increase the percentage of your income you need to spend to make money or figure out items that are not need or figure out ways to accomplish your goals while spending less money!
