Methods of Lead Generation

 

Now that you have your two groups of people (Met and Haven’t Met), it’s time to decide what kind of contacts you need to make.

In Person:

  • Drop off letter of introduction
  • Drop off a market report
  • Drop off a personal brochure
  • Drop off a newsletter

Phone Calls:

Periodically all the people you know should get a phone call from you.  Keep it nice and friendly.  You might ask them if they have gotten your mailings.  Before you call anyone, make sure they are not on the "Do Not Call List" unless you have already established a relationship with them.

Mailings:

You may also want to save money by doing at least some of the mailings by e-mail.  To do that you need to get the e-mail address of every person you talk to.  You will also need a reliable e-mail service and a professional e-mail address.
