I have been using post cards ever since a seminar speaker back in the late 1980’s said, “You have 4 seconds to make an impression between the mail box and the trash can.” You might say, it really made an impression on me!

What is an “impression”? When you are doing any form of prospecting, you goal is to get the person to remember you so that when they need real estate services they will think of you. Studies have shown that it takes between 7 and 9 impressions for someone to remember you. That’s why you have to keep sending mailings over and over. With just a single mailing, you don’t even know if you have made one impression. If your mailing gets stuck between two other pieces of “junk mail” they will never know you mailed to them. |
