Have you heard about “stealth websites”. Traditional web sites are heavily branded sites. A stealth website, on the other hand, is not heavily branded, in hopes of overcoming the reluctance of prospects to give their contact information.
| One version of a stealth website is a lead generation web site. With lead generation website, the goal is to give leads very few choices. For example, you might just include “search listings”, “new listing notification service”, and “request a CMA”. Each option would require them to give their contact information to get what they want. I’ve found that the secret is to request as little information as possible. | ![]() |
I use the “lead generation” web site concept and then gradually add content to the site as the site “ages”. For an example of on of my lead generation web sites, go to www.FindStCharlesCountyRealEstate.com.
Another version of stealth web site is the “free reports” type web site. They may not have a lot of content, but hope that people will ask for the free reports they offer.
NOTE: Although you want these websites to be as stealthy as possible, you need to make sure the site has your name, company name and contact information. Your broker will probably want to approve it first.
